We hope you enjoy the IRT and all of its activities and amenities. Please note that much of the maintenance work along the trail is accomplished by individual volunteers, organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Garden Clubs, Rotary, Lions, Local Church Groups and the IRT Commissioners.

The IRT has acquired from a Cement Co. in Odessa, TX, the Plymouth Yard Locomotive that was previously used at the Dragon Cement Co. in Northampton. It is on display at the Portland St. Trailhead in North Whitehall. The IRT had created a fundraiser to restore the locomotive to its original colors when it was at the Dragon Cement Co. Cost estimate is $4,000.
